OH MORMON CHURCH - ExMormon Song Parody ala O Christmas Tree

It's been almost a year since I last posted on this blog, but yesterday, I was listening to Christmas music and a lot of "alternative lyrics" started running through my head - and, of course, when I say "alternative lyrics," they usually involve something having to do with Mormonism, my former life-long (bogus) religion.

So here is my latest song parody, brought to you by the 2019 Christmas Season.

OH MORMON CHURCH
(Sung to the tune of O Christmas Tree)

Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
Your teachings are so bogus.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
Your teachings are so bogus.

Right from the start, did not ring true,
The many falsehoods that you spew.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
Your teachings are so bogus.

Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
I clung to you forever.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
I clung to you forever.

But then some research I commenced,
The more I read, the more incensed.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
I had to leave your clutches.

Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
You cover-up your history.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
You cover-up your history.

For it is sordid, filled with shame,
And it’s not true as Mormons claim.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
You hide your sordid history.

Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
Your founder was a swindler.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
Your founder was a swindler.

Yes, Joseph Smith, a charlatan,
Began the church with lies he spun.
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
Your founder was a swindler.

Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
When will your members get it?
Oh Mormon Church, Oh Mormon Church,
When will your members get it?

The fraud to me is crystal clear,
But the Mormons will not hear
The obvious, the obvious,
When will the Mormons get it?
